He was born in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), and he started playing drums at the age of 13, receiving classes from masters such as Jose Isidro”Pepucho” and José Miguel Méndez “Churchi” at Escuela Mancomunada de los Realejos. He also studied three years of modern harmony with Sergio Díaz.
In 2007, he started to work as a session musician performing with several artists in Spain and as a drum teacher in various schools of the island. He has recorded and played with important artists
such as Andi Deris (Helloween), Chico Pinheiro, José Vélez, Deborah Carter, Braulio, Torsten de Winkel, Nantha Kumar, among others. He has also played together with great musicians such as Stanley Clarke, Antonio Sánchez, Paul Jackson, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Bill Frisell, Steve Swallow, Robert Glasper, Snarky Puppy, John Maclaughin, Chucho Valdés, Gary Willis, Kenny Barron, Dave Holland, Marcus Miller, Roy Hargrove and Joe Lovano. Nowdays, he endorses Bosphorus Cymbals, Santafé drums, Joe Bass snare drums and Wincet drumsticks.
He is also a teacher at Adeje Municipal School of Music.
