Tenor sax

He started playing electric guitar with several rock, ska, blues anf funk Canarian bands in 1995. After a few years he became interested in saxophone and decided to try studying it in various academies and municipal schools of music. Two years later , he started playing tenor sax at the Municipal Band of Vecindario “Sol y Viento”, being part of that band for three years. He also started to play with some soul, blues and funk bands.

 

Attracted by jazz, he continued his training, attending various master-classes and music seminars with musicians such as Jerry Bergonzy, Dick Oatts, Mikel Andueza and Jesús Santandreu. He has also studied for several years modern techniques of improvisation and arrangements with Enrique Villamir and has received occasional private lessons from saxophonists such as Kike Perdomo and Fernando Barrios.
